50 years of Wonder

Working with our partners at the University of Surrey, we created a landmark film to celebrate the 50th of Anniversary since its founding.

Turning back the pages of the history books, we celebrated key moments from Surrey’s story. Revisiting the life of E.H. Shepherd and his iconic Winnie the Pooh, looking to the skies with Concorde and hailing the birth of the UK’s most iconic car, the Mini.

To mark the occasion we used a variety of techniques to project original archive footage, back into the University itself.

Rewinding the clocks, this eye catching approach saw the Mini return to the engineering department, Led Zepplin back on stage at the Student Union and Winnie the Pooh hidden deep within the University’s archive vaults.

"What Wander delivered at the end of the project exceeded all our expectations and to date has been one of the most successful films we have ever released."

The campaign branched into a variety of assets, including digital and social media content.

As well as a bespoke made book, telling the hidden stories behind each of our projections.

All culminated in a celebratory event on the anniversary itself, with our final film, narrated by TV icon Professor Jim Al-Khalili, played the centerpiece.
